Zen Shiatsu

Shiatsu is a holistic therapy that utilizes the therapeutic touch on the meridians (energy channels) and tsubos (vital points) of the human body to harmonize and balance the yin and yang energies of our organic system. Shiatsu acts on both the biomechanical level, muscle and bone structure as well as the subtler level, meridians, Kiu / Jitsu balance. and myofascial

It is practiced in a futton, with the patient dressed, preferably with clothes of natural materials that allow movement and help in responsiveness to touch. During a session the therapist uses different techniques to create joint space and muscle structure, thereby activating the receptor's energy and then initiating the subtler part of the therapy. To do this, the meridians are traveled, using mainly the fingertips or palms to apply more or less deep pressures in large areas or precise points located along the energy channels.

"In Zen it is important to have a good master to learn from. In shiatsu your patient is your master. You can achieve satori by treating disease and restoring health."
